Low-cost drifting buoys

The Unidad Académica de Sistemas Arrecifales (UASA) has developed drifting buoys for tracking pelagic sargassum patches. These buoys are equipped with GPS trackers, cellular technology for recovery, internal memory type MicroSD (capable of storing two data per minute), and cameras to monitor the motile fauna associated with sargassum.
