Instrumentation and technology developed at UASA for sargassum research
At UASA, drift buoys have been developed to track sargassum patches. These buoys include GPS trackers, cellular technology for recovery, internal MicroSD memory with capacity to store two data points per minute, and cameras to monitor the mobile fauna associated with sargassum.
